a) Location : Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei Complex (Near D.R.D.A. Office, Lunglei)

b) Year of Establishment:1985

c) Activities : District Sericulture Office Lunglei look after all Sericulture activities in the district. Implimentation of Plan scheme etc. Administration of all centres and all sericulture development activities in the district were carried out from this office. All the reeling cocoons produced by private farmers are purchased, stiffled at the District Sericulture Office , Lunglei and send to Zemabawk Reeling and Spinning centre.

III      Industrial Grainage Centre, Zobawk.

a) Location : Zobawk, Bazar Veng.

b) Year of Establishment: 1996

c) Infra Structure: i) E.O.Office : 1 ii) Staff lodge : 1 iii) Staff Quarter : 1 iv) Grainage Building : 1 e)Staff Strength i) Extension Officer : 1 ii) Sericulture Demonstrator : 2 iii) IV Grade : 1

d) Activities:

i)The Commercial Grainage Centre, Zobawk is responsible in making the quality commercial seeds for distribution to the private farmers. So, every year this grainage centre used to produced 5 to 6 crops of quality hybrid silkworm seed free from diseases.The seeds produced from this centre are sent to different districts and within Lunglei district.

ii) There are 4(four) Private Seed Growers within Zobawk village who are directly linked to this Grainage Centre.The centre is responsible in supervising and looking after these seed growers.

IV Government Mulberry Seed Farm, Lunglei.

a) Location : Situated in the East side of Lunglei at the bank of Farm Veng Lunglei.

b) Year of Establishment: 1972

c) Area i) Area of Farm : 7 acres ii) Area of Plantation : 4 acres iii) Approximate No. of Food Plants : 8000 Nos.

d) Infrastructure: i) Farm Manager Office : 1 ii) Rearing House : 2 iii) Staff Quarter : 3 e) Staff Strength i) Farm Manger : 1 ii) Rearer : 1 iii) Chowkidar : 1

e) Activities:  The Government Mulberry Seed Farm function as P1 Station and is responsible in producing the quality Silkworm Seed Cocoons . So every year, the Government Mulberry Seed Farm, Lunglei conducts 6 crops rearing, producing quality Silkworm Seed cocoons which is sent to Grainage Centre, Zobawk.

V   Government Mulberry Seed Multiplication Centre, Hnahthial.

a) Location : Thlanvawng Kawi,Hnahthial (Lunglei Road)

b) Year of Establishment: 1987

c) Area i) Area of Farm : 2.5 Hectares ii) Area of Plantation : 5 acres iii) Approximate No. of Food Plants : 7000 Nos.

d) Infrastructure: i) Farm Manager Office : 1 ii) Rearing House : 1 iii) Grainage House : 1 iv) Chawki Rearing House : 1 v) Staff Quarter : 2 vi) Godown : 1

e) Activities: i)The Government Mulberry Seed Multiplication Centre, Hnahthial function as P1 Station and is responsible in producing the quality Silkworm Seed Cocoons . So every year, the Government Mulberry Seed Multiplication Centre, Hnahthial conduct 6 crops rearing, producing quality Silkworm Seed cocoons which is sent to Grainage Centre, Zobawk.

VILLAGE CIRCLES: Lunglei District is divided in 8(eight) village circles :

i) Buarpui Circle covering the following villages Buarpui, Bungtlang ‘W’, Sertlangpui, Thuampui, Vanhne, Lungdai ,Serte,Kawlhawk, Old Khawlek and New Khawlek. Circle incharge: H.Lalthansiama, Sericulture Demonstrator.

ii) Thorang Circle covering the following villages Changpui, Lungchem, ThenhlumBunghmun,Zawlpui,Putlungasih,Belthei,Bolia,etc Circle incharge: R.Lalmalsawma, Sericulture Demonstrator.

iii) Lungsen Circle covering the following villages Phairuangkai, Lungsen, Lungrang ,Chhunkhum,Rangte, Lalnutui ,Rualalung,Tlabung, etc Circle incharge: H.Zonghilhlova, Sericulture Demonstrator.

iv) Thingfal Circle covering the following villages Thualthu, Tawipui ‘N’, Tawipui ‘S’, Mualcheng, Thingfal, Bualte, etc Circle incharge: R.Sangliana Extension Officer

v) Zobawk Circle covering the following villages Electric Veng, Farm veng, Chanmari, Lunglawn, Theiriat,Hrangchalkawn, Zobawk, Hlumte, Ralvawng. Circle incharge: H.Rochunga, Sericulture Demonstrator

vi) Haulawng Circle covering the following villages Zotuitlang, Phaileng ‘S’, Mualthuam ‘N’, Haulawng, Chengpui,Ramlaitui,Sekhum, Kanghmun ‘S’, Pukpui, Zotlang, Serkawn, Zohnuai, Bazar Veng Circle incharge: K.Lalzuithanga, Sericulture Demonstrator
