           (1)         Supply of Mulberry Cuttings to new Farmer:  The Department supplied mulberry cuttings to the new farmers for their initial establishment of mulberry garden, every year in the month of May/June. The District Officer collected the requirement of mulberry cuttings within our jurisdiction and submit the same to Directorate. The Directorate, thus, supplied mulberry cuttings as per our requirement through selected supplier @0.25 paise/cuttings. (see annexure –I)

           (2)         Supply of Rearing Equipments: The Department has the scheme for the supply of Rearing Equipments, needed by private farmers. The following equipment are usually supplied to the farmers by the Department/District Office:-

                                    1) Bamboo Rearing Trays at subsidized rate of Rs /- per trays.

                                    2) Plastic Mountage/Chandraki

                                    3) Chemical/ Disinfectants etc.

            The District Officer received the equipments in kind from Directorate and distributed it to the needy farmers as per their requirements.

             (3)         Supply of GCI Sheets, for the construction of Rearing House:  The Department also has scheme of supply of GCI Sheets to the progressive Sericulture farmers for the construction of Rearing House in Mulberry Garden. The GCI sheets required are received from Directorate and supplied it to the selected progressive sericulture farmers @ 3 bundles per farmer, after careful spot verification

             (4)         Supply of Silkworm-eggs. ( Disease-free-lays ):  It is the responsibility / duty of the Department to supply disease-free Silkworm eggs to our beneficiary within our jurisdiction at the time of silkworm rearing, every crops in a year. The disease-free Silkworm eggs ( DFLS ) are prepared at Central Granaige, Zemabawk. The District Office make indent as per requirement of farmers and distributed the same to the farmers at the subsidized rate.(see annexure –I)

             (5)         Purchase of Reeling Cocoon, harvested by the Seri farmers:  Serchhip is one of the Purchasing centers of Reeling Cocoon, in Mizoram. The Reeling Cocoon, harvested by the Sericulture farmers are purchased at District Office with the following Gov’t approved rates- (see annexure –I)

           (6)         Implementation of Cluster Development Programme: Regional Extension Centre (REC), Aizawl under Central Silk Board (CSB) has Schemes to promote our beneficiaries within Serchhip District for the construction of  Rearing house, and supply of Rearing equipment etc.

             (7)         Beneficiary  Training Scheme under ATMA/ Beneficiary Empowerment : Farmers Training Programmes are being conducted with the fund received from ATMA and beneficiary empowerment programme (BEP) to dessiminate the latest new technology of Silkworm Rearing and Mulberry Cultivation etc.

             (8)         NLUP :  Implementation of New Land Use Policy (NLUP) within Serchhip District till date are as follows:-

1.         1st Phase:

b)         Nos of Villages covered by the deptt :-
